(Site) Specificity III, 2017
video projector, table, bookshelf, books, 2 mirrors, mirror cube, 1980 globe, upright bed covered in black fabric, 2 windows covered in vellum, emergency flashlight, wall pieces, dichroic on acrylic
The (Site) Specificity is a series of lecture on the notion of site specificity as it is being challenged by our global transnational era and the increase of digital technology.
SSIII focuses on how absence and disappearance makes a site specific. My bedroom in Los Angeles, was transformed into an immersive installation, for the performance. Timed to coincide with sunset, the projected image becomes clearer as the sky outside darkens. |
